To read a description of the badge and its regiment's name, hold the cursor over the picture, you may have to do this twice. All values are from 'Badges of the British Army 1820 - Present' by F.Wilkinson.

'Gordon Highlanders' The badge bears a stags head in white metal with a crown around its neck. The badge is surrounded by an Ivy wreath. All this is above a scroll inscribed 'Bydand' meaning watchful. This badge is worth approximately £10.     'Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders' This badge is in white metal and shows the reversed L cypher of Princess Louise. On one side of the L is the Argyll's boar and on the other is the cat of the Sutherlands. Above the cypher is the Princesses coronet. The badge is surrounded by a wreath of ten thisles. The approximate value of this badge is £10.     'Royal Fusiliers' The badge is a rose within the garter (Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense) surmounted by the appropriate crown for the time of issue. This badge is worth approximately £20.     'Gloucestershire Regiment' Sphinx on a  tablet 'Egypt' above a laurel spray with a scroll 'Gloucestershire'. This badge is in white metal and is worth approximately £7.     'Royal Scots Fusiliers' The royal coat of arms with KC on a grenade. This badge is brass and is worth approximately £10.     'Parachute Regiment' A pair of spread wings with a parachute infront, surmounted by the royal crest. The pictured badge is anodized aluminium and is worth approximately £3.     'Huntingdonshire Regiment' Home Guard. A brass leaping stag above the scroll 'Huntingdonshire' This badge originally used for the counties cyclist battalion is worth approximately £35.     'The 9th / 12th Royal Lancers' A QC surmounting crossed lances with pennants hanging from their points, behind the Prince of Wales' Feathers, below is a scroll enscribed ' IX - XII'. This badge is in brass and worth approximately £10.     '13th County of London Battalion (Kensington)' The arms of Kensington upon an eight pointed star. This badge is brass and is worth approximately £10.    'Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers' A chained horse rearing on a globe infront of a brass lightning flash. The scroll above inscribed 'REME' with a KC resting on it. This badge is worth approximately £10.    'Cheshire Regiment' An eight pointed star with circle in middle bearing full title. Centre is an oak spray. The badge is brass and worth approximately £7.    'The Rifle Brigade' White metal wreath with Maltese cross within. Central is a circle with title and the Light Infantry bugle. Surmounted by KC, below is the scroll 'Prince Consort's Own'. The badge includes 40 battle honours on its wreath and cross. Worth around £8.   'Royal Green Jackets' The Royal Green Jackets have a new anodized aluminium badge which bears a Q/C upon a tablet inscribed 'Peninsula', below that is a cross and the Rifle Brigade Naval crown with a Copenhagen honour. This badge is worth apoximately £4.    'Kings Royal Rifle Corps' A black Maltese Cross. The arms of the cross carry battle  honours. In the centre a circle bearing the full title and inside it a stringed buglehorn. The KC rests on a tablet above which is inscribed 'Celer et Audax'. The badge is brass and worth approximately £7.    '18th Battalion London Irish Rifles' The Erin Harp in white metal surmounted by a KC. Worth approximately £15.    'Royal Horse Guards' itle on circle surrounding the royal cypher, surmounted by a KC. This badge is made from brass and is worth approximately £20.     'Pioneer Corps' Brass piled pick, rifle and shovel with a KC above, all standing on a scroll inscribed 'Labor Omnia Vincit'. Around the intersection of the tools is a laurel wreath. The badge is brass and worth approximately £10.     'Army Cyclist corps'  A cycle wheel infront of crossed rifles with a K/C above. A three part title scroll is below this inscribed 'Army Cyclist Corps'. The badge was issued with either 16 or 18 spokes. This badge is brass and worth approximately £15.    'Royal Tank Corps' A laurel wreath surrounding the tank facing to the left. Surmounted by a  KC. A scroll inscribed 'Fear Naught' runs across the base. This badge is in white metal and is worth approximately £8.    'Royal Marines' A KC above a globe and laurel wreath. The badge is brass and worth approximately £8.    'Royal Canadian Corps of Signals' A KC above an oval tiltle which surrounds Hermes the winged messanger. Below this is a maple wreath and a three part scroll inscribed ' Velox Versutus Vigilans'. This badge is brass and worth approximately £12.    'Royal Artillery' An old fashioned artillery cannon above a scroll inscribed 'Quo Fas et Gloria Ducunt' (Where Right and Glory Lead). Above the cannon is another scroll inscribed 'Ubique' (Everywhere) which is surmounted by a crown. The badge pictured is brass and worth aproximately £5.     'Royal Army Service Corps' A KC above an eight point star which is around the monogram ASC. The badge is brass and is worth approximately £10.    'Royal Army Ordnance Corps' Brass worth around £8.    'Royal Air Force' Officers Cap badge. An eagle with spread wings above feathers surmounted by a Kings Crown. The badge is made from bronze and is worth approximately £10.    'Royal Ulster Rifles' Angel Harp and crown aove motto 'quis Separabit' meaning 'None Shall Seperate Us'. The badge is in w/m and worth approximately £10.     'Manchester Regiment' The arms of the city of Manchester above a brass title scroll 'Manchester'. White metal worth around £10.     'Army Veterinary Corps' The white metal monogram AVC inside a brass laurel wreath with KC above. Worth around £12.    'Army Medical Corps' The rod and serpant of Aesculapius, the Greek God of Wine, within a laurel wreath. With title scroll beneath. Surmounted by KC. Brass worth around £5.    'Royal Artillery' 2 Variations of the field service badge. Grenades with scroll 'Ubique' meaning 'Everywhere'. Brasss Worth approximately £7 each.    'Royal Corps of Signals' Hermes in the centre standing on a globe within an oval band carrying the full title with the KC above. Brass worth approximately £12.    'Cambridgeshire Regiment' Cambrideg Castle with the Arms of Ely in the centre above a brass title scroll. The badge is brass and is worth approximately £8.    'Suffolk Regiment' Gibraltar Castle inside a circle inscribed 'Montis Insignia Calpe' within a laurel wreath. Surmounted by a Kings Crown. The badge is in brass and is worth approximately £7.    'Essex Regiment' Gibraltar Castle within an oak wreath surmounted by a sphinx on tablet 'Egypt'. Below is a three part scroll inscribed 'The Essex Regt'. This badge is made from brass and is worth approximately £7.    'The Lancashire Fusiliers' A sphinx on tablet 'Egypt' mounted on a brass grenade. the sphinx is surrounded by a laurel wreath. Below there is a three part scroll reading 'The lancashire Fusiliers'. The badge is made from brass and is worth approximately £7.    'South Lancashire regiment' Scroll on top and bottom reading 'South Lancashire Prince of Wales's Vols'. In centre sphinx on tablet 'Egypt' with Prince of Wales feathers above it. On Either side is a laurel wreath. This badge is made from brass and is worth approximately £7.     'Special Air Service' (SAS) A winged dagger striking downwards with the mooto 'Who Dares Wins' on a scroll below. The pictured badge is a restrike worth approximately £4, the real thing is worth upto £35.    'Lancastrian Brigade' Royal Creast above the Rose of Lancaster within a laurel wreath, below is a scroll inscribed 'Lancastrian'. The badge is anodized aluminium and is worth approximately £3.    'Royal Air Force' An anodised aluminium badge showing the letters RAF surrounded by a laurel wreath. Surmounted by a QC. It is worth approximately £3.    'Somerset Light Infantry' The Light Infantry horn with the letters PA in between the strings to represent Prince Albert. Above is the mural crown below the scroll 'Jellalabad'. The badge is in white metal and is worth approximately £8.    'Royal Sussex Regiment' Circle inscribed with the royal garter with cross on inside. Surounded by an eight pointed star above a title scroll. All superimposed upon the Rousillon plume. The badge is made from brass and is worth approximately £5.    'Herefordshire Regiment' TA. A white metal lion clutching a dagger, standing upon a heraldic wreath over a title scroll 'herefordshire' The badge is worth approximately £12.    'Licolnshire Regiment' A Sphinx upon a tablet inscribed 'Egypt' above a scroll inscribed 'Lincolnshire. The badge made from brass and white metal is worth approximately £7.    'Leicestershire Regiment' A tiger on the ground above a scroll inscribed 'Leicestershire' above is a scroll inscribed 'Hindoostan'. The badge is brass and worth approximately £8.    'Canadian General Service' A maple leaf with KC embossed on the centre above a scroll 'CANADA'. Made from brass this badge is worth approximately £10     'Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry' Simply the feathered plume of the Prince Of Wales above the scroll inscribed 'Ich Dien'. The badge is made from brass and is worth approximately £6.     '17th Lancers' The skull resting on a pair of crossed bones above a scroll inscribed 'Or Glory'. The badge is made from white metal with a brass finish and is worth approximately £15.    'Kings Shropshire Light Infantry' The badge is the letters 'KSLI' within the cords of a stringed bugle-horn. This badge in brass is worth approximately £7    'Essex Imperial Yeomanry' Essex arms within a circle inscribed 'Audacter et Sincere'. Surmounted by KC. Brass worth around £6.    'Royal Corps of Transport' A star with QC surrounding the corps' title scroll which is itself surrounding the centre piece EIIR and the royal garter. The badge is in anodized aluminium and is worth approximately £3.    'Royal Engineers' The badge of the Royal Engineers is the royal cypher of the reigning monarch of the time (in this case Elizabeth II) within the garter surrounded by a laurel wreath with the relevant crown above. The pictured badge is anodized aluminium and is valued at approximately £4.    'Women's Land Army' A wheat sheaf on a green enamel background surrounded by a circle inscribed 'Womens Land Army' . Surmounted by a Kings Crown. Issued During WW2. The badge is made from brass and is valued at approximately £15.    'Air Raid Patrol' This badge is the framed letters ARP surmounted by a K/C. The pictured badge is made from hallmarked silver and is valued at approximately £15.     'Seaforth Highlanders' Stag's head above a detached scroll 'Cuidich'n Righ' White metal worth £6     'Northumberland Fusiliers' St. George and the Dragon on the base of a flaming grenade inside a circle bearing a latin inscription. The Royal Crest in brass, worth approx £6     The Royal Navy Beret Badge. A white metal anchor in a brass circle surmounted by a queens crown. Worth approx £6     The Buffs. A brass dragon standing on the ground above a scroll reading 'The Buffs' the badge is worth around £7    Australian Commonwealth Military Forces. A rising sun and Kings crown above the scroll. Worth around £8    The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. calipers surrounded by 4 shields on which are the initials R-E-M-E. Surmounted by a kings crown. This badge is in plastic but I also have it in brass. Worth around £10 in plastic and £8 in brass.    The Glider Pilot Regiment. An eagle facing left in circle enscribed Glider Pilot Regiment. Surmounted by a Kings Crown. The reverse is marked J.R.Gaunt London.. Worth around £10.
